Adam, Šimon
Jan was born into a Czech Christian family. When he was eighteen years old, he started to help lead the local youth ministry in Karviná, Czech Republic. Later, he became the main leader. Since then, he felt that his ministry needed to focus on young people. After university, he worked for one school year as an English and P.E. teacher in a small private Montessori school. There, he felt that school and teaching was something that should be part of his life.
Between 2017 and 2021, Jan worked for the Comenius 2020 project under Josiah Venture’s partner organization in Czech (KAM) as its coordinator. Today he uses the skills, knowledge, and relationships from his school and youth group backgrounds. Jan supports and helps youth leaders across the Silesia region of Czech to be effective and Christ-centered in their ministry. Having the heart for schools, he’s a part of the Spiritual Heritage program. This program creates lessons for schools based on the Christian faith, Bible, and significant figures of Czech history.
He serves young adults in his local church in Karviná. Together with his wife Tereza, they are raising two boys—Adam and Šimon.
