Szabolcs & Maggie Bella

Szabi came to Christ at 16 years of age, through a youth group led by a Josiah Venture (JV) missionary. Since then, he has felt called to lead other young people to Christ, so that they can experience the light God brings into the darkness of this world.

Maggie felt the call to ministry after going to Hungary for the first time in 2019, and again when she spent three months serving as an intern in 2022. She felt a strong desire to bring young people into the family of Christ, where they can be rooted in the Lord and experience the joy of being called sons and daughters of the Most High.

Szabi and Maggie met in 2019, when Maggie visited Hungary as part of a mission team. They got married in Wisconsin in July 2023 and moved back to Győr, Hungary, 6 weeks later. Currently, Szabi and Maggie are living in Győr, leading the same youth group where Szabi came to Christ. They joined Josiah Venture as full-time missionaries in the Spring of 2025.

Along with discipling the boys in the youth group, Szabi is mentoring and training youth leaders across the country. Maggie is discipling girls in the youth group, as well as leading summer interns who are serving in Hungary with JV. Szabi and Maggie are also part of a church plant in their city, where they enjoy serving in many ways.

Szabi and Maggie are so grateful to be serving in Hungary, and are excited to see the Lord work in amazing ways among the youth.
