Barbora & Šimon Tomečkovi
Baška decided to follow and give her life to Jesus at a teenage church camp at the age of 13 in Slovakia. The Lord began to put on her heart the teenagers in her city, so she began ministering to teens and young adults. In 2020, she became the leader of the English camp in her local church in Košice.
Her first connection with Josiah Venture (JV) was through the annual youth leaders’ conference organized by Training Center Kompas (TCK), JV’s partner organization in Slovakia. Later, she joined TCK’s School for Youth Leaders —first as a student, and later as an intern. Throughout this season, her deep desire was to invest in the growth of youth leaders while waiting to see what God had prepared for her.
In 2020, she joined the TCK team to help develop pointonline.sk, a platform where youth leaders can find resources, ideas, and materials for ministry. In 2023, she became the director of POINT, which has since expanded to include podcasts and other tools to encourage leaders across Slovakia.
Baška and Šimon got married in 2025. Together, they serve the youth in their local church in Košice. Šimon is a high school teacher who also disciples young men through his small group.
